Almost forgot to remind ya’ll to cop the latest Georgia Anne Muldrow ”Seeds”. Produced by Madlib there was 99.9 percent change this release would turn out to be a musical master piece. The blend of the slightly diverse aproach to music of Georgia Anne Muldrow and Madlib turned out to be a stroke of genius. The result is absolutely worthy of a spin.
First of all I’d like to say …. all of you anywhere in the world who were smart enough to purchase their D’Angelo tickets in time …you lucky devils!!
I was watching the footage below yesterday and I am already jealous cause … D’Angelo is definitely BACK!!
Curious? … to see more of this electrifying performance head on over Okayplayer…

I already hooked y’all up with Pardon the Stranger’s ”The Snow Is Gone” earlier this month. Now I have the visual treat for you. Featuring Kendal Good (vocalist) mostly and well … I don’t hate it.
It’s that time again. The time to let y’all know that something pretty fly is coming your way. After the critically acclaimed A-Free-Ka in 2009, Shafiq Husayn is crafting another musical masterpiece ” The LooP”. My expectations are high cause working with the likes of Jimetta Rose, J. Mitchell, Breezy Lovejoy, Mic Holden, and Thundercat just has to result in something really good.

This should be interesting. Georgia Anne Muldrow’s upcoming release “Seeds” will be entirely produced by DJ/Producer/ Rapper Madlib. Since both artists are known to be creative geniuses when it comes to their own music, the blend of their music intellect can only result in something that will be a feast for your ears. The project will be available on March the 27th.
For now the tittle song of the album can be downloaded for free on the “Rolling Stone Magazine” website. Yep …2012 is already shaping up to be a wonderful year in music.

For more info on the album I suggest you hit up the Robert Glasper website.
The tracklist and the audiostreams featuring King and Erykah Badu are tangible proof that “Black Radio” is not only the music must-have of 2012 (eventhough it just started) but also a modern classic ..
Yep it looks like the 28th of February 2012 will be a beautiful day in music history.

Damnnn what is not to love about Jesse Boykins the III. His never ending creativity brings us the video for “Zoner” from the FreeEp Way of a Wayfarer.
If despite the beautiful visuals and Jesse’s warm soothing voice, like me, you are still wondering what a “Zoner” is. Team Boykins offers the following explanation … There is a misconception when one is lost in themselves because society can miss the truth behind it. This video is a pure introduction to Jesse Boykins III’s soul and takes a piece of his mind and displays it for the world be a part of. There is the reality of being alone, but also the desire to lust for something that inspires and assists the creation of beauty, a Zoner.
Can’t help it … now I love him even more …

Meet Sherry Dyanne, the girl most Dutch people know for her stunning Erykah Badu imitation on a Duth Television show called “de soundmix show”. Sherry Dyanne has come a long way since then. She has been touring with Micheal Franti and has been on stage with Benjamin Herman and Leon Ware.
But now the time has come for Sherry Dyanne to do Sherry Dyanne. On December 2nd her debut album “Sing me a song” will drop and I’ve got a feeling about his one. With her remarkable Billie Hollidayish voice she will bring us some new stuff and some revamped old stuff. Curious about her sound? Stream the video below.
If you happen to be in Amsterdam (Netherlans) on the 3th of December. Get your but over to People’s Place, Stadhouderskade 5 …for the CD release party.

Damnnn I am ashamed to say … that this is my very first Peter Hadar post. This is truly strange cause I’ve been keepin an eye on this artist …like forever.
Peters’s music is described as a salacious mix of Soul R&B, Electronica, and Experimental flavor. To me his RnB sounds somewhat unusual in a good way. His EP named ‘Take Off Victoria’ is in the works and of course Noggy will keep an eye on that for you. Curious?? … click play and stream his sensuous video below.

Hmmm how can you not dig this on a peaceful Sunday Morning. Miles Bonny and Circle Research gave a modern spin on two Stevie Wonder classics.
In the essence it sounds like there was some extra base added here and there and of course Miles Bonny’s voice completed the new compositions.
Filed under: music, music video, nu soul | Tags: Erykah Badu, New Amerykah Part Two
When it comes to timing I would have to say that Mrs Badu is on point. Cause just when she kinda slipped my mind … she hits me up with a brand new video for “Out of My Mind just in time” (part 2) taken from New Amerykah Part Two.
Most interesting detail about this video is that it was directed by Georgia Anne Muldrow …
P.S. if you missed out of my mind just in time part 1
If Miles Bonny needs an introduction … you really should hit up Strangefruitmusicblog more often. Cause even though I haven’t blogged him in a while there is no way you could’ve missed a Miles Bonny post if you’re a regular…
Anyways I have a clip of him performing my all time favorite …”5 O’clock Suff”. Taken from Suff Daddy’s The Gin Diaries.
Growing up in Oakland, CA, Chris Turner knew at the age of four that he wanted to be a singer just like his father. Luckily for him he didn’t only have a dream but inherited his fathers vocal abilities which enabled him to follow his dream.
Chris graduated from the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music in 2007. He currently tours internationally with Bilal Oliver and has toured with Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, and Sean Kingston. Chris released his first single, “Liquid Love,” in 2010, and is working on his album, “LOVEchild”.
I meant to tell you about him after I saw the video to Erimaj’ s ”Conflict a Man” featuring Chris Turner ( you can stream the video above). But I guess a litlle bit more convincing was required before I picked up on Chris and needed to share.
Below you can stream the reason why you needed to be updated. Chris’ acoustic rendition of Sly and the family Stone’s “If you want me to stay“!!

This rendition of James Blake’s Wilhelm Scream needs no description. It just needs to be experienced.
Mr. Patterson added some soulful umphh to the otherwise angelic James Blake track and even though the nu soul flavour has a slightly different feel, the result is the same as the original …eargasm.

Come here often? Than you know DJ Center and Sam the Champ are two names you just have to respond to. You probably know DJ Center because of his remarkable release “Everything in Time” and Sam the Champ is familiar for adding umph to existing tracks.
Since your here … I know you appreciate quality music and therefore it’s time to add another name to your mental rolodex …Gretchen Parlato!! This lady certainly has got jazz and you can hear a little of it coming trough … when she sings “You got the Love“ ….
