Latonya “Tone Trezure” Givens is a very gifted songstress from Flint, Michigan we would have already heard of if we were paying attention but since she has a new EP out by the name of My Destiny….I think that as of now she will be hard to dismiss. From beginning to end this 5 track EP filled with a funky RnB flow and the sultry soulful voice of Mrs Givens is a must listen!! I’ve listened to it over and over again and I guess that….even if she doesn’t score big right away…her time flying under the radar is most definitely over.
Under the rader?!…yeah you read that right. This lady has written and produced songs for Bilal on Love for Sale his shelved sophomore album. More specifically the tracks “Get out of My Hair” and “When We Were Young“. She has also worked with the likes of Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Strange Fruit Project, Pharaoh Monch, and Jay Electronica to name a few.
