I already hooked y’all up with Pardon the Stranger’s  “The Snow Is Gone”  earlier this month. Now I have the visual treat for you. Featuring Kendal Good (vocalist) mostly and well … I don’t hate it.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard from Pardon the Stranger, the new Jersey duo I introduced y’all to about 7 months ago.

They are back with a soulful electronic freebie “Snow is Gone”, a track that will most definitely warm you up to their sound.

if you press the arrow on the right side of the soundcloud music wave (you know…the small one underneath the info button) you can download this straight to your computer!!

Yep Tokyo Dawn records is at it again. On the 3th of June 2011 they will make Earth a groovier planet by unleashing “Evoluzion” by SoulParlor into this world. SoulParlor is a German based production and DJ collective that has been on the international broken beat scene for 15 years now.”Evoluzion” is backwards for “Noiz U Love” and reflects the musical range of their incredibly eclectic DJ sets.

If you are not able to feel the intensity of their sonic fusion of bass culture, house vibes and hip hop grooves your heart must be made out of stone. It’s not just the beats cause SoulParlor had some help from a few very skilled friends. The album features Cecilia Stalin (Koop), Jacob And The Appleblossom (Wagner Love), Colonel RedOddiseeReplifeStan Smith and others. Bonus remixes are delivered from longtime collaborators from West London and beyond including legends of the underground such as Afronaut,Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In The Attic), Dego (4hero/2000black), MdCLPure P (Raw Fusion), Souled and Tokyo Dawn’s funk maestro Opolopo.

I am really digging this one and would advice this funkelectric broken beatz journey to anyone. So fasten your seatbelt and head over to the Tokyo Dawn website for more info on this must have.

Benny Tones  is a Wellington based producer, DJ and Audio Engineer. He is the official Sound Tech for future soul band Electric Wire Hustle and has also set up his own professional audio engineering facility in Wellington – Organik Muzik Workz.

The single Chrysalis is taken from Benny Tones album “Chrysalis” that will be released on BBE in spring 2011.  For a taste of how hot the album sounds click here and you can have a full pre – listen before you purchase it on iTunes. About Chrysalis in Benny’s own words:

Chrysalis was the last track to be made for the album so has a lot of influences from the sounds I have been listening to lately, a lot more on the futuristic tip. Wanted to put my own spin on the really FX heavy really produced sound but still keep the big spacious floaty vibe. I also worked with a vocalist by the name of Sacha Vee who I had done some work for in the past. She’s a jazz trained vocalist so I wanted to see what happened when I gave her something way out of her musical spectrum. The result was this crazy fusion of styles that came out sounding quite different.

All I know is that it’s hot!!!

It is not that Strangefruitmusicblog failed to tip you on this one … it’s just that we failed to do this properly!! Space Invadas is what you get when Ashley Anderson a.k.a Katalyst and Steve Spacek  join forces. Both established in their own right they somehow managed to bring something fresh to the table … when they dropped “Soul-Fi” earlier this year via “Invada Records”. On Soul-Fi samples of old soul and jazz tracks are merged with todays electronics which results in what could be best defined as Future Soul.

After all the well deserved rave reviews BBE records decided to pick this one up for a world wide release on February 2011 and there is more info on this when you click here. The international edition of Soul – Fi will feature several unreleased gems and remixes. But the best part is that Space  Invadas will look to tour internationally in support of the global release of their debut album. Since Europe and America or at the top of their itinerary Strangefruitmusicblog will surely keep you posted on this one!!
