Confirmed tracks

  1. “Blue Skies”
  2. “Rock, Dust, Light Star”
  3. “Goodbye To My Dancer”
  4. “I’ve Been Hurtin'”
  5. “Not The Funk”
  6. “White Knuckle Ride”

It is understood that there will be a total of 12 tracks on the new album, as mentioned by Jay after the first performance of Rock Dust Light Star at Debut in London on 24th June 2010.

Rock Dust Light Star is the forthcoming seventh studio album by British alternative group Jamiroquai, due for release on November 1, 2010. It will be the band’s first studio album since 2005’s Dynamite. The album has been recorded at Jay’s home studio in Buckinghamshire, Hook End Manor in Oxfordshire, and Karma Studios in Thailand. The album is entirely written by the band, and produced by first time collaborators Charlie Russell and Brad Spence.

To give you a taste of what to expect you can stream the first single White Knuckle Ride below. The song was written by Jason Kay, and is the band’s first record to be released under Mercury Records. The single was released on CD, a limited edition 10″ Vinyl and via digital download in the United Kingdom. The band describe “White Knuckle Ride” as “a hi-octane retrospective on Jay’s career experiences – a cautionary tale equally applicable to anyone’s life in these pressure cooker times.” (source:wikipedia)

Of course visuals to this track will be provided as soon as the full video is available but for now…
