As Strange Fruit we try to support our dutch artist as much as possible. Today we put singer Rebekka Ling in the spotlight. Rebekka has her roots in Gospel and Soul and came out of a family where music was more then daily on the menu. With all this music around it wasn’t a surprise that she eventually made a career in music. In the past we could hear her as a vocalist with The Proov, a dutch hiphop group which claimed there spot on the dutch hiphop scene with the great Traditions EP. Besides this she did a lot of backingvocals for Dutch artists. Nowadays Rebekka is the leading lady of her own band with whom she’s in the process of finishing her debut album. With inspirations as Marvin Gaye and Dinah washington this can t go wrong in our opinion. Before the album is finished there will be the “Travel Light single” which you can hear here thru here soundcloud page. For all you readers who wanna download this song for free.
