DOWNLOAD: MAR – SEEING HER NAKED EP
This can actually be a really short post, cause frequent Strangefruitmusic visitors already know that whatever Mar”s name is attached to …. is going to be a snooth musical experience.
I’ve been keeping an eye on his “Seeing her Naked” release ever since the track “Our Attempt” was poppin up all over the net. But since it made me anxious and impatient, I decided that no Strangefruitmusic reader should experience the agony of waiting for this musical gem. Instead of enticing you with just one track, Noggy decided to let Mar overwhelm you with the full release of “Seeing her naked” (believe me ..you will be thankful after streaming).
Yep Noggy here … hitting you up with Moodymann’s latest. These tracks are meant to hypnotize and not analyze, so I’m going to keep this short. It’s an 8 track detroit house exclusive banger, provided by Scion AV!! You can get it for free here.

We knew something was up as soon as we heard the first “analogue monsta mix” way back in 2011. Since I hold both Tokimonsta and Suzi Analogue in high esteem … I am not surprised their first collaborative effort turned out so well. Suzi’s NNXTAPE is still on very heavy rotation and Tokimonsta’s “Darkest Dim” still has this surreal feel to it, that makes you want to listen to it over and over again. Needless to say I am anxious to hear a lot more from Anologue Monsta, a merge of two ladies with their own distinctive take on electronic music.
I have to say that the blend of undividual styles is more accessible than the electronic composition Suzi Analogue and Tokimonsta come up with when they produce solo. But maybe that is because I only have this track to go on. The thing is that you’ll find that in this case accessability does not mean it ain’t totally fresh …

Almost forgot to remind ya’ll to cop the latest Georgia Anne Muldrow “Seeds”. Produced by Madlib there was 99.9 percent change this release would turn out to be a musical master piece. The blend of the slightly diverse aproach to music of Georgia Anne Muldrow and Madlib turned out to be a stroke of genius. The result is absolutely worthy of a spin.
If you are not familiar with Jai Paul … my bad, cause I failed to introduce you to this London based artist last year. In Jai Paul’s case the music is basically the only thing we have to go on. There seems to be an air of mystery surrounding this artist cause other than his singer songwriter and producer skills thereis not much I can tell you about him.
To fans he is best known for his 2010 release BSTU, the track that put him on the map (for me).
BSTU by Jai Paul
After the 2010 smasher I hadn’t heard much from Jai Paul. That is up until 13 hours ago … Out of nowhere he hit fans up with a stream for his latest “Jasmine“. Even though it has a slightly different electronic feel, I’d have to say the man created another banger..

Jennifer Lee a.k.a Tokimonsta has finally released a video for the standout track from last years “Creature Dreams EP” … “Darkest Dim”. Both the L.A. beatsmith,Tokimonsta and Gavin Turek, the girl who does the dreamy vocals are featured in the video. With the help of director Doug Chang a 3.26 minute dream adventure is created.
The story is that Tokimonsta (The Dream Curator) carefully manages the playlist of Gavin Turek’s (The Sleeper) dreams throughout the night using her grippers. When Tokimonsta accidentally breaks a dream card in half using her hand, she discovers a newfound possibility of remixing broken pieces of dream cards together to deliver Gavin the most beautiful dream she ever had.
You can find each and every possible detail of the video on darkestdim.blogspot.com ….
DOWNLOAD: JAMES BLAKE ‘S LIVE ALBUM
Even though 2012 is shaping up to be a wonderful year in music … I don’t mind looking back if it’s James Blake we are talking about. The British singer-songwriter, producer has come a long way since he started his musical career by releasing a string of impressive mainly dubstep oriented EP’s from his bedroom. He actually started his musical career when he was in his final year at Goldsmiths, University of London where he studied popular music.
Well it’s almost 3 years since his first release … an EP by the name of “Air and Lack Thereof” but I think it’s safe to say that after his selftitled debut album he has arrived. The album was, to say the least, slightly different from all his previous releases but was pretty well received nontheless.
I guess Mr. Blake wanted to show his ever growing amount of fans a little bit of gratitude when he provided them with the link for an unofficial FreeLP . The FreeLP can be downloaded from his Tumblr site and features live versions of I think every track on his album. kudos to Pinboardblog for providing us with the soundcloud stream.
Even though the whole release is worth while … track 14 “love what Happened Here” is the one that really floats my boat.
