But most of you knew some serious hip hop was coming your way as soon as you saw ..”Exile”. Last time we heard from Exile he had fans on the edge of their seat with his AM/FM release cause the (at the time) free load “Radio Remixes” already sounded to good to be free.
I am happy to announce he is back and on the 4th of October Exile’s latest will drop. The selfproduced rap album is named “4TRAK MIND” and will be released via Soul Spazm & Dirty Science.
Of course Exile wouldn’t be Exile if he didn’t offer a little sumthin sumthin to whet your appetite and Strangefruitmusicblog wouldn’t be Strangefruitmusicblog if we didn’t hit you up with Exile’s Intro to the Outro …

Finally the cat is out of the bag. In the beginning of this year DIY -like Blu video’s were popping up and informing you about an upcoming release. That is if you were paying attention. Luckily the details on the upcoming release were issued in the press release below… it’s hard not to notice this kind of information.
Los Angeles MC/producer Blu has earned widespread acclaim for his collaborations with Exile, Ta’Raach, and Mainframe, and is currently at work on his major label debut for Warner Brothers. While fans wait, New World Color is happy to announce a digital EP (also available on limited edition 10″ vinyl) featuring music from Blu’s love-themed concept album Her Favorite Colo(u)r, as well as previously unheared material.
The 7-track Amnesia EP is sure to please Blu’s burgeoning fanbase. On tracks like the Her Favorite Colo(u)r standout “Amnesia” and the never-before-released “Amnesia(Rewind)”, the SoCal native explores the complexities of love and relationships while his own understated production sets the mood. The collection also features previously-unavailable instrumentals, showcasing Blu’s skills behind the boards. Amnesia goes digital onFebruary 15th, just in time for Valentine’s day, and the collectible vinyl 10″ version hits stores shortly after, on March 1st. A full release of Her Favorite Colo(u)r is set for this spring.

This one popped out of nowhere and since it’s a Blu and Exile collab dopeness is guaranteed. But the one thing that’s gonna keep bloggers everywhere on the allert is the fact that somewhere near the end there is anouncement that there is new music coming soon.

Johnson Barnes, better known as Blu, is an American rapper and producer from San Pedro, California. He is best known for his debut album, Below the Heavens, which was produced entirely by one half of Emanon, Exile. The aforementioned facts are strictly for those of you who are not in the know but after listening to his track Amnesia sure as hell are going to remember this dude.
The video seems to have been around for a while but I guess it was just a little bit ahead of his time cause it has been popping up on blogs everywhere just recently. If you ask me for good reason cause I truly dig the sound!!
