DOWNLOAD: JAMES BLAKE ‘S LIVE ALBUM
Even though 2012 is shaping up to be a wonderful year in music … I don’t mind looking back if it’s James Blake we are talking about. The British singer-songwriter, producer has come a long way since he started his musical career by releasing a string of impressive mainly dubstep oriented EP’s from his bedroom. He actually started his musical career when he was in his final year at Goldsmiths, University of London where he studied popular music.
Well it’s almost 3 years since his first release … an EP by the name of “Air and Lack Thereof” but I think it’s safe to say that after his selftitled debut album he has arrived. The album was, to say the least, slightly different from all his previous releases but was pretty well received nontheless.
I guess Mr. Blake wanted to show his ever growing amount of fans a little bit of gratitude when he provided them with the link for an unofficial FreeLP . The FreeLP can be downloaded from his Tumblr site and features live versions of I think every track on his album. kudos to Pinboardblog for providing us with the soundcloud stream.
Even though the whole release is worth while … track 14 “love what Happened Here” is the one that really floats my boat.

There is not much left to say about Mr. Blake … his highly anticipated, selftitled album is pretty much well received. The only thing left to keep the buzz going are the music video’s. His lates, the music video for Lindesfarne, is most certainly a unique experience.
Each and every day with every visual or audio fragment that drips through the cracks into the blogosphere I am more and more intrigued by James Blake and that is all for now folks!!

After releasing 3 EP’s and a video to the track “Limit to your Love” the world is finally ready for James Blake’s latest endeavour cause his selftitled album is about to drop on the 7th of February 2011. Pitchfork wrote an excellent post with valuable info on this release and you can click here for that one.
Should you go for this release?! …I don’t need much convincing when it comes to mr. Blake and maybe after hearing “I mind” which is going to be featured on his album you won’t either.
